If you have a long-term marketing plan in place, your business can make informed decisions about marketing investments, prioritizing its resources for maximum impact. Your marketing strategy will be less reactive and rather lead the conversation about what should be expected in your industry. It is really easy to go out and create an ad and stick it on Facebook, but to clearly define where you want your business to be in five years and complement that plan with the marketing to get you there is a different story. This type of strategy takes a serious amount of time and money!
One of the benefits of having a long-term marketing strategy in place is eventually getting to "pick" your customers. Dealing with humans can be hard, especially if money is involved. We probably all have a certain type of "client" or "customer" that we prefer to serve and a certain type that we would just rather not deal with (We all know the type đ). I am not trying to throw shade on anyone here; this is just the reality of doing business. If we have the correct marketing strategy we can choose a message and price point that will appeal most to our preferred clientele.
One thing that the world could use more of today is community. A great marketing strategy can help you build a community around your business. Done right, your strategy can create die-hard fans that would do just about anything to make sure that your business doesn't go under. If your messaging resonates with your customers, they will even do a lot of your advertising by sharing pictures and videos of your product on social media. #wmvisual
